Spanish superstar Thiago Alcantara retires

Liverpool’s Spanish star Thiago Alcantara has announced his retirement. The 33-year-old, who was suffering from an injury, is taking off his boots considering his health conditions. 

His contract, which has played ball for Liverpool for the past four years, ended this season. Thiago started his professional football career with Spanish giants Barcelona and has also played for Bayern Munich.

He has won a Community Shield and an FA Cup with Liverpool and has won 15 titles with Bayern, including the German Cup, the Bundesliga, and the Champions League. He was part of the Spain national senior team from 2011 to 2021 and played 46 matches.
